WELCH PRODUCTS
ANNOUNCES
EXPANSION
OPPORTUNITY IN MACON MISSOURI
The CEO of
Welch Products, Bruce Boland, announced today that the company was in open
discussions with the Macon County Economic Development Corporation to
potentially open a sales and distribution facility that may also house
professional support services, in Macon Missouri.
The expansion
will facilitate the growth and success of the newly created Missouri Playground
Surfacing Program, a partnership between the National Safe Surfacing Initiative
(NSSI) and the Missouri School Board's Association (MSBA). Welch Products is the manufacturer of
unique, long-life, rubber playground safety tiles and provides them exclusively
to the NSSI.
The anticipated successful outcome of discussions
between Welch Products and the Macon County Economic Development Corporation,
if approved, will allow the company to enhance its presence in the state of
Missouri and create an opportunity for adding up to 12 or 16 new jobs.
Welch Products, of Carlisle Iowa, has developed
and deployed a patented manufacturing process that converts crumb rubber into a
variety of unique and high quality rubber products including DuroMat™ Extended
Life playground tiles. For more information visit the company's website at www.welchproducts.com.
