WELCH PRODUCTS
ANNOUNCES
AGREEMENT WITH
MISSOURI SCHOOL BOARD'S ASSOCIATION
Welch Products
announced today the creation of the Missouri Playground Surfacing Program
(MPSP). The MPSP is a partnership
between the Missouri School Board's Association and the National Safe Surfacing
Initiative, the sales and marketing division for Welch Product's playground
surfacing products.
The Missouri
Playground Surfacing Program will assist Missouri schools with the procurement;
design, installation and financing for DuroMat Extended Life™ rubber playground
tiles that have been shown to significantly reduce playground injuries.
"This agreement
is the first step in providing the resources necessary to assist Missouri
schools in acquiring the DuroMat Extended Life™ playground tiles," says Shannon
Godwin, director of Communications for Welch Products. "Missouri was one of the first states to use
DNR grants to provide our rubber tile safety surfacing, manufactured with
recycled tires, to local schools.
Because of our continued investment in the state of Missouri, many
schools already understand the value of the safety surfacing, this program will
assist them with the implementation of rubber playground safety tiles."
Welch Products, of Carlisle Iowa, has
developed and deployed a patented manufacturing process that converts crumb
rubber into a variety of unique and high quality rubber products including
DuroMat™ Extended Life playground tiles. For more information visit the
company's website at www.welchproducts.com.
